FIBROIDS: Irregular periods and swollen abdomenFrom: janef (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 14 Aug 2008 18:24:44 -0500 (CDT)
I have been having problems with my periods and abdomen ever since I delivered my daughter two years ago. My abdomen is full, swollen, and occassionally has very bad cramping. I went to my gyn a year after she was born and he asked if it was painful if he pushed down on my abdomen, which it wasn't. What could it be if it was painful? Do you think this is belly fat or something else? Also, we have been trying to conceive since October 2007. I had a chemical pregnancy in January 2008 and have only had 2 periods since. Does this mean that I may be infertile now since I am not regularly having periods? I have been irregular my entire life but never have I missed three periods in a row like I have lately. I read online about desmoid tumors that develop after childbirth and am wondering what the likelihood is that I have that. I have schedule another visit to my gyn but won't be able to see him until October so I figured I would try some online advice. Thanks for any help
