After colposcopy, medication called Monsel's solution also called Ferrous Sub Sulfate is applied to your cervix. It acts as seal over the biopsy sites. In one to two days it comes out.It is best not to pull on it, although tempting to do so.You give a very good description of this solution.Almost always ,it comes out in two days by itself.. Take care.JoAnn NP
