ADHESIONS: How soon can pelvic adhesions return? Is 8 weeks too soon? From: Mich (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 6 Aug 2008 18:33:38 -0500 (CDT)
I had a laparoscopy 2 months ago for lysis of adhesions. They were on the bladder, intestines, abdominal wall, vagina, ovary -- all were supposedly removed. I felt a BIG difference for a few days after the laparoscopy, but unfortunately a week after the laparoscopy got hit with a kidney stone which caused a lot of pain for a while. The stone did come out, but I now have slight pain, pinching, and a pulling sensations in the same areas on the right and left. My fear is that the bout with the kidney stone messed up the healing. Can that happen? I started to feel exactly how I felt 7 weeks after my hysterectomy at 7 weeks after the laparoscopy -- nausea, inability to eat, pelvic pain, rib pain -- so it makes me think that within 6 months, I'll be right back to where I started, which is in a lot of pain. Is it possible for adhesions to start coming back so soon?
