Dr. van Almen, Thank you for your timely reply. I am still puzzled about the PID issue, however, because as I said I have never had Chlamydia nor Gonorrhea. (Unless my husband does, and that would be a WHOLE different story, wouldn't it?) Nor can I recall any intra-abdominal infectious process.

I will be seeing my GYN ASAP. Needless to say, this has me frazzled. I am very appreciative of your reply.
