SEXUALITY: Irritation issues during sex

My girlfriend has lost her virginity to me and we've had sex a few times now. She says it's enjoyable now but after a while she starts to get irritated on the outside and she says it burns when she urinates after.

Is there anything we can do to help her? I'm used to shaving every two weeks, should I be shaving more often? She says the rubbing gets to her after a while so I'm wondering if that could be the reason or is there something else she should do? Maybe buy some lubricant for the outside and have her use it during sex, if not right away than at least during sex while she's starting to become irritated?
