ONCOLOGY: Adenocarcinoma in situ of cervixFrom: colorado (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 24 Jul 2008 09:47:55 -0500 (CDT)
I had my second c-section in March due to my uterus rupturing all the way down to the cervix. Standard follow-up found abnormal pap then coloposcopy revield adenocarcinoma in situ of cervix one month ago. Still waiting for results of cone biopsy, ECC and Uterine biopsy done last week. Previous history of abnormal paps with 2 prior coloposcopies found nothing but mild displasia. Please explain what margins mean? Also, Because of the uterine rupture all the way down to the cervix, what is the likelyhood that some of the cancerous cells got out into other parts of my pelvis and attached somewhere else?
