OVARIANCYSTS: Ovarian Cyst during Menopause

I will try to make this brief. I am 52 years old and Type 1 Diabetic for 27 years. October 2007 would have been the one year mark of cessation of menstrual cycle. Went to OBGYN for yearly exam, and result of lab tests showed precancerous cells. I was told this is nothing to worry about. November 2007, I had 9 days of heavy bleeding, as never before in my life. I thought maybe it was making up for lost time, and that my period had started up again. Called OBGYN they suggested that I come in. Uterine walls were thin, however, a sonogram was ordered. December 2007, the sonogram revealed a 3mm fluid-filled cyst on left ovary. Doctor said we would order another sonogram in May of 2008. There has never been another episode of bleeding since November 2007, but breast tenderness persisted, bloating, and all the symptoms of an approaching period persists. In May of 2008 the sonogram revealed a new fluid filled-cysts on the right ovary of the same size, in addition the uterine wall was thick, twice the normal size. In June a biopsy was performed, with negative results, other than the precancerous cells were evident, and the uterine lining had returned to normal. Doctor would not order CA125 or FSH, so I did so myself at a local lab and results FSH - 43.6, reflecting postmenopausal state, and 7.8 for the cancer antigen (Bayer ICMA methodology), so I believe that is a negative.

The plan is to have another sonogram in September. My concern is I have dropped 13 pounds in the last month, without effort. In addition, I am having migraine aura without headache - no pain, just the flickering light display, every morning since September 2007. This may or may not be related to the hormonal changes during menopause, but the neurologist suggests that it is. Further CT and vision testing is planned in the next month. I had at no time, related the migraine aura without headache and menopause to one to the other, until seeing the neurologist two weeks ago.

I want to suggest to my OBGYN to have a laparoscopy to remove the ovarian cysts, and I'm wondering why they havened done so already. Any advice would be appreciated, but with the additional weight loss, I am very concerned that something is going on. I dropped from 145 1bs to 132 1bs and I am 5'7".
