HPV: Need some advice, please help

I'm sure not many guys post here, but Im doing so out of concern for my fiancee. I'll just copy and paste a letter I had sent to someone else.

She is about to turn 21. She went back for a Pap, to get her birth control pills again. The pap came up abnormal, and they said she showed to have low risk HPV, and now they want her to return for a Colposcopy . Most of the research and reading we've done, said that it should be followed up with another pap, before taking it further. Especially at only 20.

My real concern is I don't trust her doctors office. They gave her a pap when she was still a virgin (this was she was 18), and hurt her severley. She was having some pain in an ovary, and they gave her an ultrasound with some sort of square device as she described it, and hurt her yet again. We read that most offices use plastic speculum's now, her office still uses metal and they have no care of which size they use, because even on this last pap she had, they left her crying, yet again.

Anyway, her appointment for the colpscopy is this Tuesday (7-22-08). Are my concerns being blown out of proportion because I'm trying to protect her, or does she need to seek out a better office for a second opinion ?

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
