ENDOMETRIOSIS: endometrioma & ovary removalFrom: Kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 30 Jun 2008 13:13:43 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, last Tuesday I had my tenth laparoscopy to remove endometriosis and adhesions. This time, I had two large endometriomas and he had to remove my left ovary and fallopian tube. I had minimal spotting Tuesday evening and Wednesday and some pain, which I have been taking Ibuprofen and Darvocet for. Then, Saturday evening, the bleeding started again and the pain got a lot worse. I'm not sure if this is just a period(if so, it is about 1 1/2 weeks early). I have had a very difficult time getting on top of the pain again, I am experiencing a lot of nausea now and pretty heavy bleeding. Is this normal? It seems a lot worse this time than other times, but I'm thinking it might be because they removed the ovary this time. He said it was Stage IV endometriosis. I have also been experiencing a lot of bladder symptoms since the surgery. Not burning or frequency, just that my bladder hurts and I always feel like I need to empty it. Thanks for any advice.
