Re: CHRONICPAIN: Lupron injections -- indications for Lupron use listFrom: Dr. Herbert A. Goldfarb (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 30 Jun 2008 03:50:36 -0500 (CDT)
Message posted on Dr. Herbert A. Goldfarb behalf by: Hope Waltman, Fibroid and Women’s Health Forum Moderator As far a lupron is concerned, there are only a few indications for lupron. 1. To control abnormal bleeding by decreasing estrogen production. And allow hemoglobin build up. 2. I used Lupron to pre shrink fibroids prior to Myolysis techniques. 3. Endometriosis to control menses and reduce pain. The significant side effects most seen as hot flashes take two to three months to develop. So I have no qualms in using lupron for a short period.
