Freckles: During a hysterectomy both of the round ligaments are cut in half so the uterus can be removed. It's unlikely that this is the source of your pain, although, rarely, a hernia might develop. It's more likely that you have a pulled muscle/strain that developed because you have not exercised much while recuperating. However, if it persists or worsens you may want to touch base with your primary clinician or gyn. Best wishes, Ashley Hill
