The incidence of fibroid Sarcoma is .4%. so it is unlikely that your fibroid is cancerous. However without the details all is conjecture. Yes there is an increased risk of endometrial cancer but I would suggest a thorough curettage and if the tissue is not atypical I would use megace for three months and then repeat the evaluation. I have treated many women for this condition in this manner and have never been sorry.
