I have had the same ASCUS. My pap smears came back Ok, the cells were only found after my gyno did a biopsy. The results were pre cancerous cells and I have since had 2 minor day surgery procedures to have the cells removed.I was told there was no evidence of HPV initially however after my second surgery they found it. My advice is don't worry perhaps go and seek another opinion, ask them to do a colposcopy its a more detailed pap smear and see how the results come back. Just don't risk leaving it and chance it could develop onto something serious. Having been through it I will be happy to help you out. Take care.
