CONTRACEPTION: Saheli/CentchromanFrom: sameasalways (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 25 Jun 2008 15:42:23 -0500 (CDT)
I am going to start using this drug to try to help with my DUB although it is initially marketed as a contraceptive, it has been shown to be useful for the treatment of DUB. I was wondering if you have any opinions or feelings about this particular drug. From what I have read it is a SERM and affects the motility of the fallopian tubes and stretches the period out to a longer time frame. Currently my problem is that I have spotting for 12 to 14 days a month and the period usually lasts one day, sometimes two. It does not affect the hypothalamus and is without typical OCP side effects, of which I can't tolerate. Particularly the sexual side effects. It is originally from India.
