Can someone tell me what causes ovarian calcifications? I recently had a u/s because of a flare up in pelvic pain and heavy period following the weaning of my daughter. I have a history of endometriosis and had a lap 6 years ago. An endometrioma was removed and I was dx with moderate endo. Since having two children, my symptoms were basically in remission. I've taken no bc pills or lupron (which was advised to me). My latest u/s showed a very small "insignificant" cyst on my right ovary. It also noted calcifications on both ovaries. My doc isn't concerned and doesn't want to do surgery. Should i go for another opinion? ARe calcs cancer???
