UROGYNECOLOGY: Flomax for kidney stones. Is that safe for women? I'm scared!

I have bilateral kidney stones confirmed by CT, but only the left side is causing problems. The urologist prescribed Flomax for 2 weeks to help the stones to pass. I was surprised because that is typically a BPH med for men, but I didn't really question it too much until I got home and did some research. Everywhere I look it states quite clearly that this drug is not for use in women. I've had a hysterectomy, so I'm not concerned about pregnancy issues. I'm more concerned about the warnings about dizziness and fainting. It also states that if you are under 110 pounds (which I am at 105), you might need a lower dose. I have the 0.4 mg capsules, is that going to be too much? I have to say I'm scared to take this drug!
