GYNECOLOGIC: 12 year old daughterFrom: momof4 (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 12 Jun 2008 17:23:54 -0500 (CDT)
My 12 year old daughter recently under went a cat scan for suspected appendicitis. They found that she had no uterus. Dr suggested re doing scan in 6 month to see if if was there. She has not gone through puberty yet. She is a very active kid, runs and swims competitively. I was wondering is it possile not to see the uterus on a cat scan in some one that age, or should there at least be some form of it visible. What would be the next step in this situation? Why should I wait 6 months? Any advice would be appreciated.
