Here is a good mystery for you. I just had a laparoscopy. Scar > tissue and cysts were removed from the left ovary. Scar tissue was
> connecting my right ovary to my intestine, but that is not the side that is in constant pain.
>
> I went through invitro three times in the past 2.5 years. The left
> ovary always produced more eggs than the right ovary. That is the
> side that is so piercing and burning with pain just above my hip. It
> feels like it's a band that is attaching my ovary to my back. It hurt to lie on my sides at night.
> It hurts to sit in a chair or to lie down and then get up without that agonizing burning and piercing pain in my back. I have relief when I stand. After my surgery, I was given Perkocat and 800mg of Motrin. Neither one of these alleviates that pain.
>
> I had a cat scan which showed that I do not have kidney stones. My
> orthopedic dx could not find any source of muscle dysfunction.

>
> My reproductive doctor said that if it continues, then we can look
> into taking out the left ovary. The onset of this pain seemed to come
> with my ovulation. Nobody seems to know what the issue is. I woke up this morning in so much pain that I started to cry. It's better when i am standing up after a while.
> Is there anything that you can tell me about this??
>
> I just need the pain to stop!
