MENOPAUSE: Should I get an endometrial ablation or wait till menopause?

I have been suffering with DUB for the last 12 years and had 3 D&C's and countless regimens of hormonal treatments. They don't work efficiently anymore. The last withdrawel bleeding after I stopped Aygestin lasted 12 days. There is nothing wrong with my uterus otherwise, I have a few tiny fibroids but otherwise no cancer or hyperplasia, polyps, etc. I have been waiting and waiting for menopause to kick in all these years, I am now 56 years old and my last FSH level a couple months ago was 4! It was 14 last year meaning my ovaries are apparently getting younger. I am so tired of erratic periods, sometimes they last weeks at a time. Should I get an ablation, a hysterectomy or somehow induce menopause?
