VAGINALIRREGULARITY: Something isn't right with my vagina

I'm really worried about my vagina, I'm certain something must be wrong, but I have social phobia and I'm so insecure discussing my reproductive organs as it is, that I'm absolutely terrified to talk to my mom about it and I don't think she'd take me seriously anyways.

I'm 19, and I'm a virgin, but I've worn a tampon once before. And up until now, that had brought me comfort that everything must be okay, because I was able to get it in. But I've now noticed that I can't seem to get a finger in, and I'm scared to try a tampon again. When I look at it, it doesn't look like any picture I've ever seen. I can see the urethra, but I don't see a second opening. I can see where it's supposed to be, but it looks more like there could be a tiny opening on either side of a solid mass of flesh (or twin masses of flesh merged together at the middle) that is sensitive if I press on it. It basically looks like my vagina is plugged by something. I have no idea what it could be. I've tried searching everything I know of, and I'm getting really scared. I was hoping it would just go away, but it's not. I still have regular periods and everything, so there must be an opening somewhere for the blood to come out, but something is taking up the rest of the opening.

Does anyone have any idea what this might be? I'm going back to the OBGYN (I've never had an exam by anyone, ever, so no, she hasn't looked at it) in September. Is this something that can probably wait until then, or is it panic time and I should be running out to have it checked?
