Re: PREGNANCY: Really lightheaded and dizzy--17 weeks pregnantFrom: Pat Sonnenstuhl (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 May 2008 15:21:51 -0500 (CDT)
This is pretty common in pregnancy, and more than likely due to the increasing fluid volume as your pregnancy grows. This might cause you to have a low blood pressure, and thus the feeling of dizziness and light-headedness. Occasionally there might be other causes, so talking things over with your OB provider is wise, but i have seen this, and it is quite common in the first half of a pregnancy. Not much to do about Meclazine can help with the dizziness but you want to be careful of taking unnecessary medications while pregnant.
