Previous message: jcha: "PCOS: nonfunctional ovarian cysts" My primary care doctor told me I have an elevated alkaline phosphates level of 156. She said all my other labs, CBC, LFT's, kidney function tests, were normal. I am in the process of getting a work up for the elevated alkaline phosphate level. So far, the only cause I can find for an increased level are all pretty scary (multiple myeloma for example)or not plausible for me (I'm definitely not pregnant right now). I am still breastfeeding my 9 month old son and I am wondering if this could be causing the increased blood levels of alkaline phosphate. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
