MENORRHAGIA: Bleeding

Hi

I used to take the Marvelon birth control pill every month for a long time, then I decided to take a break from it which ended up being 4 months long (Taken the pill for around 3 years, and taken afew long breaks from it before) .

I went back on the pill recently due to going on a trip abroad to see my boyfriend. I started taking it the week before I left so it would kick in. Ever since I've been abroad though (1 month now) I have bled. Some days it would stop entirely (maybe for 1 day) other days it would be very light, others very heavy. It was unlike normal menstrual blood, it was a light red and not as thick, no clotting for about a week.

Then as it went on It started to become more like a period and I had clotting and period pains (I read about breakthrough bleeds you can get when you go back on BC after a long break, so was'nt that worried at this point).

Then the pains got so bad on one day I felt a sudden gush and ran to the bathroom and something had actually come out of me, some sort of greyish piece of flesh that was long and covered in blood. After this passed the pains went afew hours later but the light bleeding carried on and my breasts became VERY sensitive and fairly painful to touch.. After trying to read up on what the thing was, I found that it could likely be something called the Decidual Cast but was unsure what could of caused it.

The bleeding carried on, mostly light but the pain eventually went afew days later.

Today it has become more clotty again but redder than usual. Plus the pains have come back slightly.

Does anyone have any idea what could of caused all this? if anyone needs any more info feel free to ask. It is becoming a bit scary.

Thanks in advance.
