YOUNGWOMEN: Divacup? Appropriate for young woman?

My daughter is 11, has been having periods for about 2 years. She started using tampons and has no problems using them but would like something a little less cumbersome. A friend recommend that she try the divacup. What are your thoughts on this? Anyone have experience with this that would apply to a young woman? My daughter is very active, rides horses, runs, swims and generally plays hard, she is very thin and not heavy at all if that has any bearing on using this. Thanks
