Often times women are asked to come back for additional views of their breasts following their first mammogram. Most often it is because they have no previous mammograms with which to compare. Many women in their early 40s have cystic breasts and an additional look is the safest, smartest way to go.

Good luck and try not to worry - the fact that your mother has normal mammograms is good news.
