Please Please don't go cutting on yourself! You don't what you're dealing with down there. It could in fact be a thicker hymen or something else. But by trying to rectify the situation yourself, you risk nerve damage, loss of sensation, surgical intervention, or the possibility of bleeding out. I'm not trying to judge I swear but at 18 you should be able to discuss this with your mother or very least doctor.Being embarrassed is no reason to put your body at risk of permanent damage. Maybe a clinic can help you or if you speak with your doctor and explain it's causing discomfort etc they may be able to see you sooner.

Best of luck Kat
