I am 26 years old and I have recently begun to suffer from bleeding during intercourse - not after, just during. I do not experience any pain. My boyfriend is not particularly large. I was not a virgin before I met him and I never experienced this problem before. I have been sleeping with my boyfriend for about a year and a half. The first time it happened was a couple months ago - I didn't think much of it because I had not taken my birth control right that week and I figured my period came early. It happened again recently and I could not think of any reason. I went to my doctor and she was unable to find anything wrong with me. All of my paps have been normal, I do not have an STD or an infection and I have never been pregnant. I am on the pill. She used a large cutip to poke my cervix lightly and it immediately started to bleed. She used silver nitrate to cover the area and told me I have nothing to be worried about. Is this normal? Do I need to have additional tests done? I am scared to have sex again and I find this extremely embarrasing and gross.
