FSHLEVEL: Can someone please explain the levels?

Hi- I am really hoping someone can help me understand what a jump in the FSH level can mean. I had my level tested on Wednesday, which was day 3 of my cycle, and it came up as 11.5. When the doctor's office called and told me this they said it is a little higher then they'd like (I am almost 33), and I should start thinking about infertility treatments. ( I have endometriosis, had a miscarriage in January, and have since not been able to get pregnant.) I have old reports of FSH testing, with a different doctor, from Sept. 2005 and Oct. 2006 and both times the level was below 1. I have read mixed things online about the meaning of a level of 11.5, and cannot find anything about a level below one.

I would really appreciate any clarification/advice!!

Thank you!
