PAINFULSEX: my hymen is blocking me from having sexFrom: Dee (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu May 15 20:07:28 2008
I have recently begun to try to have sex with my boyfriend however, we have not been able to succeed. We cannot get his penis past a certain point in my vagina. It is like there is a wall stopping us and I realise that this is probably my hymen which I thought had been previous broken when I was fingered but apartently has not been. I realise that breaking it will be painful and will cause bleeding but I am not worried about that. What I am worried about is how difficult it has been for us- it seems impossible to break it. We have tried multiple times and positions with no success and now we have to be apart for the summer so the process has been put on hold. It is possible that I will see him again in a few weeks and I would like to have this sorted out before then. Is it possible that there is a problem with my hymen which needs to be medically dealt with? Should we just push harder? I have heard that a lot of foreplay and lubrication as well as being relaxed will help and I am excited to try again, however, if there is something wrong with me, I don't want to make it worse by pushing too hard. Also, we have found it to be slightly more successful when I am on top - should we keep trying that and is that a more effective/less painful way to go about stretching/breaking my hymen? I apologize for how blunt this post is, I am just worried that this is my fault and I will be unable to have good sex with my boyfriend.
