PREGNANCY: Miscarriage following cervical polypectomy

Hi. I recently lost a much cherished pregnancy at 18 wks gestation. A maternal-fetal medicine specialist did a routine ultrasound and said there was suddenly very little amniotic fluid in the yolk sac and that the prognosis was poor. 10 days later, I miscarried a perfectly normal little boy. My regular OBGYN said it was possible that the removal of cervical polyps during my 12th wk contributed to the breakdown of the sac membrane. She said that a natural substance produced by the body to heal the surgical wound can potentially damage nearby tissue/membranes. Have you heard of this?
