PREGNANCY: Prenancy after thermal ablationFrom: Judy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 2 May 2008 13:40:52 -0500 (CDT)
I am 39 and had my second child at 32. I had my tubes tied at that time with the hulka clips. At 35 I had thermal ablation. I had really heavy bleeding along with polyps/fibroid tumors. I still have my periods but they are light. I just got re-married and we have talked about wanting another baby. I know I would have to get a Tubal Reversal. All of which I have read, the thermal ablation basically destroys the uterus lining. With me still having periods, is there a possibility that there could be some of the lining left that an embryo could attach to it and survive? I do have an appointment with my obgyn next week. I also heard that the doctor could inject dye into the uterus to see how much lining is left. Is this also true?
