MENORRHAGIA: Delayed Period, Severe Cramps, Fatigue, PMS, Help! From: Amanda James (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 30 Apr 2008 07:00:28 -0500 (CDT)
My periods have never been very regular but this time things are very odd. I chart them on a website which predicted my period should have started this month on the 21st (33 days after the start of my previous period). Around the 19th I began experiencing the worst case of PMS I have ever experienced. Emotionally I am completely unstable, I am constantly exhausted and irritable. On the 21st, the day I should have gotten my period I began getting mild cramps. Over the course of the week the cramps have gotten worse and worse and the fatigue has been preventing me from getting anything accomplished. My period still has not arrived. This morning the cramps were so bad it felt as if I was going into labor. I have taken a pregnancy test and it came up negative. I am 31 years old, I have had three children, two cesarean sections and had a tubal ligation with my last pregnancy in 2003. I usually have very very heavy periods with severe cramping and fatigue for the first 3 or 4 days and then minimal bleeding for an additional 4 or 5 days. Please help, I am beginning to worry that this could be something serious.
