MENORRHAGIA: Missed period for 3 months plus burning in pelvic regionFrom: JW123 (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 29 Apr 2008 18:03:00 -0500 (CDT)
I am currently working without benefits/insurance, and in trying to find out which type doctor I need to visit first, I am trying here first. My symptoms include: 1) Missed period for 3 months (I have been under a bit of stress during this time and have missed periods due to times of stress before, but only up to 2 months.) No chance I am pregnant. 2) In the same time I have had stomach issues, a gnawing sensation right below my ribs, in the stomach area. I think I have taken care of this by taking Pepcid Complete. 3) Over the past 2-3 weeks, after the stomach issues, I have been experiencing a "warm" burning sensation in my pelvic area. The best way I know to describe this is, it feels as though warm water is being poured inside me. This happens off and on during the day, just below my belly button. It does not hurt, and only feels like a tingling feeling. Right now, I know I need to visit a doctor. Not only to get answers, but also peace of mind. But, being without insurance at the moment, it's just not that easy. I am looking for any information, to tell me if these things could be related, or what type doctor I need to visit first, to keep my costs down. Thanks for any info!
