Re: VERICOCITIES: Vericose Veins in Labia, Perineum and Anus areas and torn Sphinter MuscleFrom: Dr. Robert Worthington-Kirsch (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 27 Apr 2008 07:27:10 -0500 (CDT)
Message posted on Dr. Robert Worthington-Kirsch behalf by: Hope Waltman, Fibroid Forum Moderator Some vein centers will treat these kinds of varicosities, others will not. You can check to see if the doctors at the vein Center are Interventional Radiologists (in which case there is a much higher likelihood that they will be able to treat the pelvic vein disease than if they are Vascular Surgeons or some other specialty). Repair of the anal sphincter would require evaluation by a colorectal surgeon.
