TexasCSR,
I while I agree with Grateful Mom and Robin for the most part, I wanted
to make you aware of one other situation. My surgeon....I have 8 laps
for endo...absolutely refuses to do a laser lap under spinal anesthesia.
He explained that it is too risky to do use the laser if the bowel is
not completely paralyzed and he is not willing to risk nicking the
bowel. This made complete sense to me, so I opted to not argue even
though I have a very difficult time with general anesthesia. Please
keep in mind, sometimes we need to ask why they make the decision or
policy they have and then with a little understanding, it is easier to
go along with that decision.
