VERICOCITIES: Vericose Veins in Labia, Perineum and Anus areas and torn Sphinter MuscleFrom: sally (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 24 Apr 2008 11:34:08 -0500 (CDT)
I was told I have a vericose vein in my pelvic region when I was pregnant. It's been 4 years and I still have issues. They seem to be getting worse. I am in pain with itching and burning in my pelvic region (labia, perineum and rectal areas). I believe I am at the point where something needs to be done surgically. I already regularly sit with my legs up, run 4 miles every morning and walk another mile in the evening, eat lots of garlic, take aspirin when its bad, take ginsing, vitamin c and e. Any suggestions or idea of treatment options would be appreciated. Do I go to a Vein Surgery Center or do they just do leg & face veins mainly? My gynecologist also told me she thinks my sphinter muscle was cut / torn during delivery and that I should have that repaired as well. My doctor doesnt know how to proceed.
