Hi Mjak, I personally think this is unusual and would question the mammogram/ultrasound center you went to. Example: Had a mammogram done and during the exam the doctor in the center wanted an ultrasound to rule out a possible cyst problem in my one breast. The doctor at the mammogram center immediately told me my results in person and answered all my questions at that moment. Then my Gyn called/wrote me a letter when he received the results from the center and said everything was ok. (I have had bad experiences with some centers and I made it a point to not go back to them again!!) Just my opinion.

Also I always tell every test center that I want a copy of my records and I want a copy sent to both my Gyn and Family Dr. This way I have my records readily available if needed! A few places will do this automatically, but I don't wait to find out. (A patient can even ask for the ultrasound record/film or MRI cd copy.)
