Two weeks ago I had my first Mammogram. I am 41 years old. A week after the mammogram I got a letter in the mail from the radiology center saying I needed to have an ultra sound done. I had the ultra sound done and was told then everything was absolulty fine and to come back in a year. Now a week later I get a phone call I need another ultra sound. I asked why and was told I needed to call my doctor for that information. I called my doctor and he had received no report. I call the radiology center and am now told oh they don't send reports for ultra sounds. My OBGYN's office told me that was unexceptable and they needed to get them a report ASAP. I called back the radiology center with this info and was told they don't do that. I asked to speak to someone in charge and was given to the radiologist. The radiologist was lovely and put my mind at ease and explained the situation to me. I explained that boobs come attached to a human being I did not think it was okay to summon my boob over and over with no explanation. My question is is it standard policy to not send a report of an ultra sound to a doctor but request a patron to return? Incidently the explanation for the callback i was given from the receptionist was not what the radilogist told me at all. Do I need to me more tolerant or should I find a new place for my mammogram.

thanks mjak
