I am concerned with information i have been reading.I gave birth to my son in 2001 and have been on depo-prevera ever since.the only cons I was informed of was a small amount od weight gain and mild headaches.I was never told about the bone loss study or the new black box warning.Other than weight gain I also got migrains,severe low back pain,a feeling of sadness all the time now and loss of sexual interest.I was told that these had nothing to do with my shot and the migrains were probly due to the stress of having a child!What I am wondering is if there is anything I can do.I feel I should have been notified of this!the only new thing they notified me of was that it might take me a very long time to concieve again and this was just about 6 months ago!!!What am I supposed to do?also were do i go for a bone density test?and is my doctor mandated to give me one or at least aprove me for one?I am very nervous about this whole thing any help is greatly appreciated. thank you
