ENDOMETRIOSIS: Pain during periodsFrom: Kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 23 Mar 2008 13:03:12 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I was diagnosed with endo via laparoscopy several years ago and have had 8 laps since then for laser removal. The last few months, the pain has gotten very bad again....all the time, and even worse with my period. Also, the bleeding is very, very, very heavy these last few months with lots & lots of clots. Now, this month...I have the cramping, heavy bleeding & clots, but I also have developed vaginal burning with my period and pelvic pain (like right above my bladder), but it feels like pressure...almost like there is something in there. Is this something common with endometriosis? I am not sexually active. Also, this vaginal burning...is this something normal that can happen? Do I need to make an appointment while I'm having my period for the doctor to figure out what is causing the bleeding? The same with this pain/pressure...does an exam need to be done while I'm having my period? I don't know if I could tolerate the pain of the exam....right now, I can't tolerate having a tampon inserted. Thanks!
