This abnormality is caused by a virus (HPV specifically). You must have been unlucky enough to have happened upon one of the bad acting varieties of this virus and it can progress. You need to get in and have the culposcopy done now. Period doesn't effect the culposcopy so go and get it done. Also if you can't get to your gyn to talk find one you can talk to. The most important part of this is to continue follow-up - PAP smears, treatment, etc. If you do this you shouldn't have to worry about this being any kind of real problem for you. This should not effect your future fertility or any thing of the kind. Get cupol then follow-up!
