I have a copper IUD and had no problems and my periods were the same as always. (I've had it for more than two years). About 6 months ago I started spotting mid-cycle. The gyn she did an ultrasound and found nothing. Since then I had occasional spotting but nothing that caused concern. Now I have moderate bleeding and some cramping 2 weeks after my period ended. Is this random bleeding normal w/the iud? I thought it only made periods heavier and longer (which didn't happen to me).
