A card and a nice note is always welcome.
As far as gifts go, I would prefer not to receive anything. Some
patients
have brought treats (baked goods or candies - home-made or purchased) in
for
the office staff, which is fine.
Different cultures have different customs. For example, Russian patients
almost always bring chocolate.
