MENOPAUSE: Low Estrogen LevelFrom: Robin (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 28 Feb 2008 18:25:41 -0600 (CST)
I had a LSH performed in Nov 2007. I was left with my right ovary and tube as well as my cervix. Due to extreme depression, my GYN ran a few blood tests. He checked my Testosterone (normal level) and estrogen levels. My estrogen came back at 61 (should be around 100). I was given an injection today of Estradiol 1cc. I was told I should be able to see a difference in one week. I am to call them in three weeks and let them know how I am doing. I failed to ask and will check, but was hoping I could get an opinion this evening....does this mean I am in Menopause, or could this be a temporary problem that with time and a dose or two of estrogen will correct itself? Thank you so much for your time!!
