Re: PREGNANCY: What's next - D&C

I did two days of methergine. It didn't work. I have had cramps all
week. I saw my ob and he said there are two things to do. 1) have a
repeat d&c and still end up where I am now with a uterus full of clots
and blood. or 2) watchful waiting. Meaning wait for the clots to break
down and come out on their own. He said if I do the d&c it will start
the process all over again. Including trying to conceive again. He
knows that I am anxious to try again. I have been running a low grade
fever. So he put me on Augmentin 500mg x3 x7 days to prevent infection.
Today I called cause the stomach pain is much worse. Hurts to walk, at
times is sharp and doubling over. So he added lortab to the motrin to
cover the pain. He said the pain is coming from these clots that have
not come out. Bleeding is still very little. How long does it take for
these clots to break up? It's been a week since the D&C. Are the clots
coming out because I am stressed about losing the baby (a friend
suggested this). Thanks!
