Re: ADHESIONS: Laparoscopic Surgery for AdhesionsFrom: grateful mom (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 28 Feb 2008 06:47:23 -0600 (CST)
I am sorry you are having troubles and pain. I too went through this following my TAH. It was in fact adhesions/scar tissue and my wonderful gyn plus a gen. surgeon spent over 4 hours lysing (freeing) the scar tissue from my colon and my pelvic walls. The lap is really not a big deal in terms of discomfort or recovery time. At the same time if you have your appendix, I would have them take a look at that since your pain is on the right side. I had 2 laps before the pain subsided; he eventually had to remove my left ovary. I still have my right ovary which is encased in adhesions, but not stuck to my bowel. Good luck and find out what is causing the pain. Kirsten
