ADHESIONS: Laparoscopic Surgery for Adhesions

I had a total vaginal hysterectomy, kept ovaries, in October. For the past 6-7 weeks, I've been having RLQ pelvic pain. At first we thought maybe ovarian cysts, but after 2 ultrasounds, it was ruled out. I know something is going on, and my gyn wants to do laparoscopic surgery because he feels it may be scar tissue/adhesions. What are the odds that this is what he will find? I'm afraid of what he will, or will not find. I know I'm having pain and discomfort, but have had a few "know it alls" tell me that it was probably all in my head.
