FIBROIDS: Fibroid issues

Good morning,

I am a 49 year old woman who has had three children. I go for a pap test yearly. I have had spotting on and off for the past 10 years. I have been through a battery of tests (I think that there is nothing left that they have not checked me with) and there is no cancer or pre cancer showing up on any of the tests. The only thing the doctors have found is that I have a polyp, fibroids.

My question is can these cause this spotting I experience between my periods. The spotting is usually a week to 10 days after my period every month at the same time of the month. Or could this be my body's way of getting ready for that ever so fun thing called Menopause.
