He did not do an ultrasound. No labwork done except urine. Didn't say if he felt anything...just that the pelvic exam wasn't "acute". What does that mean? I was seen again yesterday...labwork showed low potassium and keytones in my urine. Said possibly the flu, possibly gallbladder, possibly endometriosis in/on the colon, possibly kidney stone, possibly ovarian cyst. I was given IV fluids, compazine suppositories, told to eat bananas and followup this afternoon. The pain in my lower left side is getting worse, diarrhea has started and won't stop...every time I try to drink anything....and I have started vomitting...it was suggested I make a yogurt smoothie with banana instead of trying to just eat the bananas...I have been trying to sip on that. I have also developed a vaginal discharge that started with a little brownish spotting and is now yellowish. I'm not sure what else to do. Can endometriosis or a cyst be causing all of this? I don't understand how this much pain on my left side could be caused from gallbladder. Could it still be considered mid cycle pain even if it has lasted this long? It started last Thursday (January 31st), which would have been about mid cycle. Any other suggestions? Also, please tell me if it is normal for the exam to be real painful since there is already this much tenderness in the pelvis and for it to feel like they are pushing on the urethra. I'm not sure if I need to try a different physician, or go back to the same one and keep trying. He was very nice, but it hurt so bad.
