Did he do an ultrasound of any part of your anatomy ? Left quadrant pain can have several causes. Did he do labwork to check on a white count to see if you had an elevated white count. Are you mid cycle...could it be mid cycle pain (which can be pretty painful, but only for 24 hours or less). There is not enough information. Did he FEEL an enlarged ovary or cyst ? I guess the best think is to see if things get better or worse. Another thought would be an early ectopic pregnancy, that you are feeling. It is possible this is a referred pain. I would certainly want an accurate diagnosis before just treating with pain medications...There are a lot of possible things that could cause this kind of pain...tho you can rule out the appendix !! It is only on the right...
